Aw, Hell with it!
I'm headed up to the ultra lovely Lake Placid area for a couple gigs this weekend. Tonight at 20 Main in Au Sable Forks, NY and tomorrow at the Recovery Lounge in Upper Jay (not to be confused with Lower Jay).
Memorial Day Weekend is a musical thing for me. When I was a kid in Batavia, IL the marching band always played at the services at one of the Cemeteries and then on the bridge over the mighty Fox River. Somebody would always keel over from the heat beating down on our wool marching band uniforms. A Brass band playing hymms by the river sounds so good. Wish we didn't have to keep tossing more flowers over the bridge every year.
I can salute our fallen soldiers and object to what's going on today in our nations name,
I can hope for peace,
And, I think I can I can get my bike in the Suburban with all the band gear and do some riding upstate too!
best to you all this weekend.
