Andy York reminded me....

Andy York reminded me that in 1980 when I was on tour in Europe and the UK with Joan Jett & the Blackhearts
I had only 3 records with me that I listened to over and over. Actually they weren't records. They were cassettes of records.
They were....

Rolling Stones Emotional Rescue
Emotional Rescue by the Rolling Stones

Miles Davis/Jack Johnson
A Tribute to Jack Johnson by Miles Davis

and
LA Woman
L A Woman by the Doors

Nice set of tapes, I still play those a lot. Well, except for LA Woman I guess, maybe time to revisit. But Emotional Rescue and Jack Johnson, timeless!

remind me one of these days to dub my Jack Johnson box set for you (seein' as I spaced on your birthday this year). lotsa wild guitar freakouts they dug out of the vault, especially from Sonny Sharrock (who does the echo plex solo at the end of the original LP)...

I really like this notion of limiting oneself to just three albs.

So, I cleaned up my living room, put away all my CDs and LPs and now have focused on just three: "Sweetheart of the Rodeo," "Bob Dylan Live 1966," and a Morton Feldman CD that has no title that I can find on the cover, disc or booklet.

The only exception will be the perfect October alb, "Ellington Indigos."
